Our color for the month of May is Purple. We will be using purple for as many activities as possible. We will learn American Sign Language for purple. We will also work on how to spell purple. Our shape of the month is a cylinder. To help with the correlation between a cylinder and real objects in our world, we have a space in our classroom to make a collection of cylinder shaped objects. Please help your child find an object or two for our collection, put his name on it, and send it to school. The objects will be returned at the end of the month.

Fourth Quarter Mission Project
Our Mission Project for the fourth quarter is the 363 Sandwich Project.
This project, started by Alan Law 20 years ago helps the homeless people in the Twin Cities by providing them with sandwiches 363 days of the year. Offerings can be brought any day and put in the container in our classroom. On Friday, we will take the offerings that are in our classroom container to chapel. Our goal is to collect $300.
During the last week of May, we will make the sandwiches and we will meet Mr. Law when he comes to pick them up.
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Our focus word for the month of May is teamwork.
Our Bible verse is: From (Christ) the whole body grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
