Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
by
Bill Martin, Jr. and John Archambault

We will continue to work with the letters of the alphabet, listen for rhyming words, and identify our names.

Math:
We will be doing a readiness inventory relating to the chapters in our math series. I will be assessing skills, concepts, problem solving, and vocabulary.

Theme:
Our 5 Senses
This week we will learn about five special gifts that God has given us to help us learn and explore the world that He has made for us - our senses.

Color of the Month:
Each month we will have a color of the month. Our color for the month of September is red. Through song, we will learn to spell red. We will also learn to sign red.

Shape of the Month:
Each month we have a shape of the month. Our shape for the month of September is a circle. We will make a collection of circle shaped things in our Math Center. Each child is encouraged to bring something to add to our collection. This should be a flat circular object, not a ball shape. We will be doing sphere shapes later. Please mark the circle with your child's name.
